Ganchimeg Ganpurev is a Research Officer in the Commodities Unit of the IMF’s Research Department. Prior to joining the IMF, she was an economist at the Central Bank of Mongolia, where she managed the Balance of Payments desk during the IMF's Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. She holds a master’s degree in development economics from Harvard University. Her research interests include monetary policy, structural issues, health economics, and, more recently, energy economics.
